Winter Polo. Four Nights in St. Moritz.
Every January, frozen Lake St. Moritz becomes a polo field for the Snow Polo World Cup, with international teams competing against the backdrop of the Engadin mountains.
Stay four nights at Badrutt's Palace, directly above the lake, with VIP hospitality for the opening matches and the finals. The day between is spent skiing Corviglia with a private guide, and the final ends with a horse-drawn carriage across the frozen lake.
Play depends on the condition of the lake ice, and the organisers can change the programme when the weather requires it.
Watch the Snow Polo World Cup from VIP hospitality beside the field, with lunch and champagne between matches and the sound of horses and mallets carrying across the ice.
The final is played on the Sunday afternoon, with the trophy presented on the ice. Afterwards, cross the lake by horse-drawn carriage, wrapped in blankets.

Badrutt's Palace is our first choice for the tournament, with the polo field on the lake directly below. Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, a few minutes' walk away in the centre of the village, is the alternative and the older of the two.

Badrutt's Palace has stood above Lake St. Moritz since 1896, with views across the lake towards the Engadin mountains. Its spa is reached by a passage from the main building, with an indoor pool that opens onto a heated outdoor pool facing the mountains.
Suite
Junior Suite Lake View. A junior suite with a separate sitting area and a balcony facing Lake St. Moritz and the mountains beyond.
Kulm Hotel St. Moritz
St. Moritz, Engadin, Switzerland
Kulm Hotel St. Moritz has welcomed guests since 1856, and St. Moritz's first winter season began here in 1864. Lake-side suites look south across the lake, and both the polo and the Corviglia funicular are within walking distance.

Piz Nair Suite. A suite with a separate living area and views across the Engadin.
The Glacier Express
Continue to Zermatt aboard the Glacier Express, crossing the Swiss Alps in Excellence Class with concierge service and a multi-course lunch. It replaces the final transfer to Zurich or Milan.
Helicopter Skiing
Spend a day skiing beyond the lift network with a private helicopter and mountain guide. Routes depend on snow, weather and avalanche conditions.
The Cresta Run
Try the natural-ice skeleton course that has run from St. Moritz towards Celerina since 1885. Rides are subject to the club's current rules, eligibility and conditions.
Segantini, Privately
Visit the Segantini Museum with an art historian, among the paintings of the Engadin's mountains and light. Private access outside public hours can be arranged where available.
When to Travel
The Snow Polo World Cup is held on the last weekend of January, Friday to Sunday, with dates confirmed each year. This experience is planned around the tournament weekend, so early booking is recommended.
