What Happens in Vegas

Las Vegas exists because it should not. A city of light and excess built in the Mojave Desert, defying logic, geography, and occasionally good sense. The version most people see is loud, crowded and sold to everyone at once. There is a second city underneath it.

That second city runs on relationships. A counter seat granted at the chef's discretion. Residency tickets bought the morning they release, before the public sale opens. A casino host who already knows the name before the car pulls in. None of it is for sale at the front desk, and most of it never reaches a booking site.

Three nights, one property, no casino floor to cross. Two of the hardest tables in the city, the Sphere on the night it matters, and first-rows seats at whoever is holding the Strip that week. The desert is an hour away by helicopter if the mood takes you. This is the city secured through knowledge, relationships and investment, and it is the one this itinerary delivers.

Signature Moments
I The eight-seat counter at é

Eight seats at a chef's counter inside Jaleo at the Cosmopolitan, entirely at the discretion of José Andrés and his team. Courses arrive unannounced, around 20 of them over three hours, each one built a metre in front of you. Nobody hands you a menu. You find out what dinner was afterwards.

II The Sphere

A 16K screen wraps the room, the audio finds you wherever you sit, and the seats move with the sound. Premium centre seats put you at the point the venue is designed around. The Eagles and Metallica both hold 2026 runs, and Darren Aronofsky's Postcard from Earth plays between residencies. Whoever is on the night you are there, you are in the seats the room was built for.

III The first rows

A current headliner residency, the seats almost nobody gets. From the first rows, the show shrinks to the size of the room. You can see the band working, hear the vocal under the mix, catch the things the back of an arena never gets. Late dinner after at Lago, the Bellagio fountains going off through the glass.

Day by Day
Thursday . Arrival
The table everyone waits for is waiting for you.
PM Private arrival, 35th floor Arrive and transfer privately to the Four Seasons. Check-in happens on the 35th floor, at a separate entrance, with the casino sealed off four floors below. The afternoon is yours for the spa or the pool while the city warms up.
Evening Dinner at é by José Andrés Eight seats, around 20 courses, three hours, and no idea what is coming until it lands. After, the Mandalay Bay high-limit room is a short walk from the lift if the tables are calling. Otherwise, the suite and an early night.
Overnight: Four Seasons Las Vegas
Las Vegas at night, aerial
Eight seats, entirely at the discretion of the kitchen.
Friday . The Sphere
A day to yourself, then the room everyone is talking about
Day Yours, entirely Today is yours. Sleep late and order breakfast to the suite. Spend the morning at the pool, an hour at the tables, the afternoon at the spa, or out in the city seeing what you came to see. There is nothing on the schedule until evening, and that is the point. The best days in Las Vegas are the ones nobody planned for you.
Evening Carbone, then the Sphere Dinner is Carbone at Aria: Italian-American maximalism, tableside Caesar, spicy rigatoni vodka, veal parmesan for two, served with theatrical precision in a room that feels like 1950s New York by way of modern luxury. Then the Sphere, premium centre seats, for whatever is playing the night you are there.
Late However you close it The high-limit tables run all night. Or go back up to the 35th floor, open something cold, and sit with what you just watched.
Overnight: Four Seasons Las Vegas
The Sphere, Las Vegas
The best days in Vegas are the ones nobody planned for you.
Saturday . The First Rows
Open until the lights go down
Day The desert, or nothing at all The day stays open. This is where the desert fits if you want it: a helicopter to the floor of the Grand Canyon for champagne at sunset, a Lamborghini on an empty road, a closed-store hour at Hermès or Chanel with a stylist who has pulled your sizes ahead of time. Or none of it, and another slow day by the pool.
Evening A residency, from the first rows The evening is a headliner residency from the first rows. Premium floor or a private suite, the pre-show hospitality, in before the crowd. Late dinner at Lago closes it out, the fountains running through the windows.
Overnight: Four Seasons Las Vegas
Caesars Palace, Las Vegas
From the first rows, the show shrinks to the size of the room.
Sunday . Departure
Out the quiet way
AM A slow morning A slow morning, breakfast in the suite, a last hour at the spa if there is time. Checkout whenever it suits, then a private car to Harry Reid, luggage handled from the door of the suite to the door of the plane.
Departure: Harry Reid International Airport
Welcome to Las Vegas sign
No queue, no casino, no rush.
Accommodation

One address. Three alternatives, how much Vegas do you want?

The Four Seasons is the base because it takes the casino out of the equation entirely: a separate entrance, its own lobby on the 35th floor, no slot machines between the car and the bed. The three alternatives below each trade something for something. Fountain views for casino noise. A golf course for a longer walk to the Strip. New infrastructure for central positioning. The Four Seasons is the one that asks for no trade at all.

Four Seasons Las Vegas pool
Four Seasons Las Vegas Mandalay Bay tower, floors 35–39

Four Seasons has run the top floors of the Mandalay Bay tower since 1999, as an independent hotel with no gaming of its own: no slots, no casino floor, no nightclub through the wall. The suite is 102 square metres: a separate living room, a marble bath, a king bed behind blackout curtains built for sleeping past noon. The windows open, which almost nothing on the Strip can claim, and the view runs north past Aria to the Bellagio fountains.

Suite Strip View One-Bedroom Suite. 102 sqm. Separate living room, marble bathroom with soaking tub and walk-in shower, north-facing Strip views.

Bellagio Centre Strip

The most recognisable luxury address on the Strip, opened in 1998, with the Conservatory and the Gallery of Fine Art downstairs and the fountains out front. Penthouse Suites sit on floors 29 to 36 with the water below. The trade is the casino floor between the suite and the lift, and a property running close to full most nights. Elegant, but not quiet.

Suite Penthouse Suite or Lakeview Suite. Fountain views, separate living areas, floors 29–36.

Wynn Las Vegas North Strip

Steve Wynn's 2005 follow-up to Bellagio, built for sophistication over spectacle, with an actual 18-hole course on the Strip itself. Tower Suites come with a private pool, salon and lounge, and the northern-end address keeps the noise at a distance. More resort than the Four Seasons' quiet efficiency, for guests who want the grounds to disappear into.

Suite Tower Suites or Salon Suite. Mountain or golf-course views, Tower Suites pool and lounge access.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas North Strip

The newest tower on the Strip, opened December 2023, bringing Miami Beach to the desert across 3,644 rooms, multiple pools and the Lapis Spa. Suites are contemporary, floor-to-ceiling, and the building is the most modern thing on the boulevard. The address sits further north than the Four Seasons, the trade for the newest rooms in the city.

Suite Luxury King Suite or Strip View Suite. Contemporary design, floor-to-ceiling windows.
Optional Enhancements
